Hello everyone!
There may not be many of you, but the love and support I feel from my small following is palpable. I recently had the pleasure of attending a retreat with some of you over New Year's, and it was wonderful to have such meaningful conversations and to hear your stories.
Today, I read a post by Seth Godin titled "Hustles End Badly". My favorite line from the post was, "When we ask someone to do something for us that we wouldn’t recommend they do for someone else, an important bond is lost."
In that spirit, I'd like to recommend some of the amazing artists I'm lucky to be connected to in my various communities. None of them have paid for these recommendations; I'm merely inspired and wish to share their journey with you, as well as mine. Please treat them with respect and kindness, as they are my friends.
Elazar Weiner is an artist with a knack for creating eclectic tactile objects that carry a sense of meaning for the holder, every object is a meditation; you can see some of his art here. He also offers Ophanim or "Jewish Yoga" classes, which you can check out here.
Gregg Mandell is a teacher, creator, and performer on guitar, piano, and other instruments. He has produced music for film and TV, and is involved in many music projects in Chicago and beyond. He also has the most amazing Beatles, John Lennon, and Bob Dylan swag I've ever seen. You can check him out on Soundcloud here.
Josh Friedberg is an author, music historian, teacher, scholar, and TEDx speaker. His work elicits laughter, tears, and a sense of connection with the world. You can reach out to Josh here.
David Scott Crawford is a professional actor, singer, and pianist/composer. His recent release, Penultimate Motel, is a soulful masterpiece that will take you on a journey across the countryside into connection, and gratitude. You can see him interviewed by the Emmy Award winning Ben Holli here or check out his music here.
Terry Rashbrook is an artist whose work explores color as "the vocabulary of his imagination". His paintings are intended to provoke and alter the mood of the spaces in which they live, elevating the viewer to a higher state of being. You can check out Terry's wonderful art here.
I'm grateful for the small following I have so far, and I have big plans coming up to serve you delicious food and create meditative experiences around cooking and eating.
